The role of nursing assistant includes care tasks such as assistance with transfers, personal hygiene, household chores, and medical interventions. We work based on IBIC (the individual's needs in focus) and with the individual's best interests in mind. Our work is based on national values and a salutogenic approach, where we promote health and highlight the individual's own abilities. In the role, you will have the opportunity to develop as you will be assigned as a contact person for a number of service users. This means you participate in welcome meetings where you plan support measures together with the customer. You are responsible for the service user's implementation plan and document in the Treserva system. The role also includes maintaining close contact with relatives and other cooperation partners. Your workplace The Care and Services Administration operates elderly care in municipal operations in Linköping. There are approximately 1,200 permanent employees and a large number of temporary staff. Linköping Municipality has long and well-established experience in care and services for our elderly residents. Vallastaden Care Home is located in the new district of Vallastaden and is situated on Lärdomsgatan. It is a residential facility for people with dementia. The house has a total of 60 apartments distributed over three floors. There is also a spa and a light therapy room. Our guests have access to a beautiful outdoor environment including an orangery that can be used year-round. On our courtyard, there is a pleasant forest environment with a walking trail where you can practice balance training at various stations located around the walking trail. About you We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant and have previous experience working or interning in support, care, and services. If you have previous experience working with people with dementia, we see that as positive. It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of a salutogenic approach, low-arousal interaction, and experience with the IBIC method. Work in elderly care involves extensive customer contact and documentation, which means we require that you can communicate orally and in writing in Swedish. You have the ability to use digital tools in your work, and it is advantageous if you have experience documenting in medical record systems. As a person, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and move your work forward. You also work well with other people and listen and communicate clearly. It is also important that you have empathetic ability, which means you can put yourself in other people's perspectives and situations. Language tests may be used in this recruitment.
