Duties Your task as Communications and Development Director will be to lead, distribute, coordinate, and develop the work within the Communications and Development Unit, both strategically and operationally. You are expected to work closely with the parish priest and other operations in the pastorat and are part of the pastorat's management group. You will be a clear representative of the Swedish Church in a world where we see a need for more communication about the Church's issues and our positions in public debate. Your main responsibilities: Personnel, operational, and budget responsibility for the Communications and Development Unit Plan, structure, and develop the unit's work on internal and external communications Enable and develop communication of the Swedish Church's unique cultural heritage and cultural expression Collaborate on communications and culture within the pastorat, throughout the entire Swedish Church, and into civil society Be part of the pastorat's strategic management group Operative work on communications and development together with the team You will be based at Fors Parish Hall in central Eskilstuna. Travel to the pastorat's various operations will be common, and travel outside the pastorat, with or without overnight stays, may occur. You will work primarily during office hours but to some extent also in the evenings and on weekends. As a relationship-building organization, presence at the workplace is the foundation for all our operations. Qualifications To succeed in the role of Communications and Development Director with us, you need to have: Academic education at least at the bachelor's level in the field of communications, or in another field that the pastorat deems relevant for the position Good grounding in and knowledge of the Swedish Church's work, through for example employment, trust assignments, or volunteer engagement Knowledge of work in communications and development Knowledge of working with non-profit and elected organizations. Very good skills in Swedish, spoken and written, as well as good skills in English, spoken and written Good computer skills B-class driver's license You must also share the Swedish Church's values and it is desirable that you are a member of the Swedish Church.
