About the Role as Support Assistant
As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to people with functional variations, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in daily life. You will support the residents in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, and always use their personal implementation plan as a starting point.
We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, where we start from each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for residents to achieve as much independence as possible and be able to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-affective communication to create security and predictability in the residents' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the organization's resources.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Deaf or otherwise fully fluent in sign language is a requirement!
Very good ability in written Swedish.
Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
Experience working in care and support.
Secondary education such as children's and leisure program, care and support program, or post-secondary education such as support educator, social pedagogue, or higher education in a relevant field.
Meritorious if you also have:
Driver's license
Experience with dementia, AAC, and low-affective communication.
Worked with complex support needs.

Unika Öbergsgatan is centrally located with proximity to most amenities. Good train and bus connections are available. The residential facility is approximately one hour by train from both Stockholm and Örebro. A walk across the beautiful Eskilstuna River or a short bus ride from the train station takes you to Öbergsgatan. The bus stops right outside the group home.
