In this role, you will have stimulating work and over time, you may be sponsored to pursue specialist training in Emergency Care. Job Responsibilities As a nurse with us, you will work with a unique range of patients—from newborns to people at the end of life. Your work in our department will provide personal development as you encounter many different types of situations where you use both your medical knowledge and life experience. You work in a team with doctors and nursing assistants regarding assessment, prioritization, and care of critically ill patients. Your Introduction You receive training at one clinic at a time, and when you feel confident at one clinic, you move to the next. There you can both direct patients to the emergency department's various clinics but also refer them to, for example, primary care or other clinics. About the Workplace Working at the Emergency Department means broad professional development as you meet patients from many different specialties. Last year, we received approximately 58,000 patients for doctor visits, of which 2,500 came in by emergency dispatch. Our largest patient groups are in medicine/infection, surgery, and orthopedics. During on-call hours, we also have patients from smaller clinics such as ophthalmology, otolaryngology, gynecology, and oral surgery. Our trauma unit is one of the largest in the country and receives trauma cases around the clock. We also have emergency dispatch teams for surgery, medicine, orthopedic, infection, and pediatric patients. For us, it is important that you feel good and enjoy your work, so we offer you: adjusted orientation program so you become confident and secure in your professional role opportunities for professional development through, for example, internal training a workplace for all stages of life, opportunity for flexible working hours within certain limits free training at our fully equipped gym wellness allowance 3000kr/year More about your benefits can be found here: https://regionvastmanland.se/jobba-med-oss/dina-formaner/ Interested? Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with at least one year of experience in the profession, preferably in emergency care. To ensure safe patient care, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is a merit if you have computer skills and knowledge of the Cosmic medical record system. As a person, you easily see what needs to be done and act accordingly with the patient's best interest in focus. You have good self-awareness, are confident in yourself, and can distinguish between the personal and professional in interactions with others. You need to be comfortable with a varying pace and be comfortable with not knowing how your workday will develop. Since teamwork is so central to our working methods, it is of great importance that you have good collaboration skills. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
