The garrison area spans from the southern archipelago of Gothenburg to the northern part of Bohuslän. The ongoing increase in personnel at the various units means increased demands for coordination in training and exercises, both nationally and internationally. Main Responsibilities We are now seeking a Training Officer who, in their work, will coordinate training and participate in planning, conducting, and evaluating exercises. Your main workplace will be at Käringberget in Gothenburg, but on several occasions you will be involved in exercise leadership at other locations or attend planning meetings at various places in Sweden. G7 works together with other staff departments, with combat units, and other supporting units at the garrison. Work is primarily conducted during normal working hours, but evening and weekend work does occur. Periodic work supporting voluntary defense organizations also takes place. You need to be prepared to undertake additional tasks on behalf of your superior within the scope of your own responsibility and competence. Examples of some G7 tasks include: - Coordinate training matters within the regiment in dialogue with Naval War School and other naval units - Handle course invitations/training registrations and student course enrollments - Participate in naval staff exercise planning on a long-term basis - Lead planning for participation in major joint exercises on short and medium-term basis - Conduct evaluations following exercises and manage lessons learned - Lead the regiment's support to voluntary defense organizations - Serve as exercise leader during exercises - Conduct evaluation and assessment of combat units REQUIREMENTS Qualifications - Trained specialist officer OR6/7/8 or officer OF1/2 with experience in training coordination and exercise planning - Category B driver's license - Excellent verbal and written proficiency in Swedish and English - Approved Swedish Armed Forces Physical Fitness Test (FM FysS) Personal Qualities You are positive, solution-oriented, and experienced in working independently as well as in groups.
