Key Responsibilities
As a procurement specialist, you will work with indirect procurement, primarily IT software and HR services. You are responsible for one or more categories and drive procurement activities at the European level. The role involves both operational and tactical work where you are expected to take a comprehensive approach to supplier base, cost drivers, and business opportunities.
You will analyze spend data, identify savings initiatives, and conduct procurement processes. The work takes place in close collaboration with both local and global teams to ensure strategies are implemented and practices are uniform. You actively work with e-sourcing tools, particularly Ariba, and ensure that contracts are used appropriately.
The role also includes improving processes and contributing to more efficient procurement flows, as well as identifying opportunities to consolidate procurement volumes.
Examples of key responsibilities:
Manage procurement within one or more indirect procurement categories
Drive tenders and RFQs in Ariba
Manage and develop the supplier base and lead negotiations
Analyze spend and price data to identify savings opportunities
Ensure compliance with contracts and procurement strategy
Qualifications, Experience, and Personal Qualities
Minimum 2 years of work experience in procurement
Meritorious to have experience in IT or HR services procurement
Experience with procurement processes and supplier negotiations
Experience analyzing data and working with cost optimization
Experience with Ariba or similar systems
Fluent in English, spoken and written
In this role, you need to be able to take ownership and drive your work forward without waiting for clear instructions. You are comfortable handling complex situations and take a structured approach to problem-solving to find practical solutions.
You collaborate easily with different types of stakeholders and adapt your working style depending on the situation and business needs. The role also requires you to be analytical and able to translate data into concrete actions.
