About the role We are now looking for a digitalization strategist who wants to take a key role in our continued development. For us, digitalization is about understanding the needs of the operations, challenging established ways of working and creating sustainable improvements with the support of technology. This means that you don't just drive digital initiatives – you drive operational development with digital possibilities as leverage. In the role, you are responsible for leading, coordinating and developing the municipality's strategic work in digital development, IT, information security and data protection. You create structure and direction, but above all you ensure that our efforts actually make a difference in everyday life. You become part of the strategy unit together with other strategists and help drive Essunga's development forward. Your assignment You work closely with the operations and help them identify opportunities where digitalization can simplify, streamline and improve quality. By initiating, prioritizing and following up on development initiatives, you drive a coherent digital portfolio where benefit realization is central. You coordinate work across the organization and represent Essunga in regional collaborations and networks. The role also involves overall responsibility where you work with governance, finances and agreements in the field. You also contribute to creating sustainable and secure digital conditions as well as long-term development of the municipality's digital capacity in line with operational needs. Through active environmental monitoring, you translate trends and requirements into concrete improvements and help strengthen the municipality's digital maturity. Who are you? You have a degree from college or university in a field relevant to the assignment, or other educational and professional background that the employer considers equivalent to the requirements. We are looking for you who are driven by development and who see the connections between operations, technology, law and economics. You have the ability to think strategically and translate ideas into action. You thrive in a coordinating role where you lead without formal personnel responsibility, and you are good at creating engagement and building trust in organizations.
