We're looking for a business-oriented Building Assessor with a focus on reuse The construction and real estate sector is facing its biggest transformation ever. We see enormous potential in making use of materials that already exist, and we're now looking for you to be our key person in making reuse a matter of course. As our new Building Assessor, you will be the face of our company to construction companies, contractors, and municipal property companies. Your role is to identify the potential in existing buildings and lead the process of inventory, valuation, and reuse of building materials. Your Role and Responsibility This is an offensive role where you combine technical expertise with business development. You will work closely with our customers to demonstrate both environmental and economic benefits of reuse. Inventory & Valuation: Conduct thorough site visits to assess the condition, quality, and potential for reuse of materials. Business Development: Actively seek out and build relationships with construction companies, contractors, and municipal property companies. You sell our services and show how we create value in their projects. Consultation: Be the obvious expert who guides the customer through the entire process – from dismantling plan to completed reuse. Network Building: Create and maintain collaborations that make us the preferred partner in circular construction. We're Looking for You – Someone Who Knows Building Materials Inside and Out Success in this role doesn't necessarily require an academic engineering degree. What's most important is that you have solid understanding of construction processes and material knowledge from practical work. We believe you have experience from, for example: Construction Production: You've worked as a site supervisor, carpenter, demolition contractor, or project manager and know how to assemble and disassemble building components. Property Management/Operations: You've worked with maintenance and renovation and have an eye for what's worth preserving and reusing. Building Supply or Material Sales: You have a good eye for material quality and understand the market value of different building products. Recycling Industry: You've worked with waste management or environmental inventory and now want to take the step to focus on reuse rather than recycling. This is Your Strength: You understand building technology: You understand the difference between demolition and dismantling. You know what it takes for a material to be functional and safe for future use. You have a business-oriented drive: You understand that reuse is not just an environmental issue – it's a business opportunity for our customers. You can calculate the value, explain the logistics, and sell the idea of circular flows. You're a "doer": You feel at home at construction sites and in properties, aren't afraid to get your hands dirty, and can have a credible dialogue with everyone from site managers to property owners. You're a driven relationship builder: You're comfortable reaching out, networking, and giving presentations. You see every meeting as an opportunity to inspire change. You have an offensive mindset: You thrive in an outward-facing role and are motivated by reaching set goals and seeing concrete results of your work. You're solution-oriented: You see opportunities where others see waste. You have the ability to explain complex environmental issues in a simple and business-oriented way.
