About the Operation The Pharmacy Unit currently has 23 employees. Most who work here are pharmacists, but we also have other professional categories employed in the unit. Our mission is to promote safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication use and medication supply, as well as to provide operational and strategic support to healthcare operations. Our mission covers the entire region, which means we work from a regional perspective and collaborate closely with the Pharmacy Committee. We have staff located at three locations in the region: Sundsvall, Härnösand, and Örnsköldsvik. We also staff Sollefteå Hospital one day per week. The Pharmacy Unit's assignments are within three main processes: medication supply, medication use, and clinical medication support. Within these processes, we work with, among other things, medication supply, medication management, medication issues, and medication budgets.
