About the Role As Operations Manager/Director, you have overall responsibility for the quality, development, and results of the organization. You combine strategic leadership with hands-on operational work and are a present leader who works alongside staff in the organization's daily activities. You are responsible for leading and distributing work across the organization's different workplaces and operational divisions. The role requires you to create structure, clarity, and good collaboration while being confident in making decisions in complex situations. You actively work to develop the organization, support staff, and ensure that work is conducted according to the organization's values and applicable regulations. An important part of the assignment is to collaborate with social services, the correctional system, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and other partners to create favorable conditions for participants' rehabilitation and return to independent living. Qualifications • University degree in social work or equivalent higher education. • At least 3–5 years of experience in substance abuse services. • Experience in management and personnel responsibility. • Strong knowledge of the Social Services Act (Socialtjänstlagen) and relevant regulations. • Experience leading and distributing work in organizations with multiple workplaces or operational divisions. • Strong knowledge of substance abuse issues, motivation work, and rehabilitation. • Experience with or good understanding of collaboration with the Swedish Public Employment Service and work-oriented rehabilitation. • Experience meeting, supporting, and managing staff with lived experience of substance abuse, criminality, or other social challenges. You will meet a wide variety of clients of different ages with different backgrounds and experiences. You will conduct searches, apply restraints to clients, and supervise clients during transport. The Transport Department's assignments are varied, which means your working hours can change from day to day. Evening, night, and weekend work may be included. The times in the schedule are frame hours, typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Nationally, it is more common to finish before the frame time ends, and in most cases you have a consistent start time.
