We are now seeking a unit manager for the Midwifery Clinics in Kungälv, Ale, and Ytterby!
As a unit manager at the Midwifery Clinics, you will lead a broad assignment within maternal healthcare – from care during pregnancy to contraceptive counseling, cervical cancer screening, and preventive work against STIs. The role also includes close collaboration with neighboring healthcare facilities and municipalities to create integrated and accessible care for women at different stages of life.
As a unit manager, you are responsible for three established clinics with an important mission: to provide safe, accessible, and professional care to our residents.
About Us
The Kungälv, Ale, and Ytterby midwifery clinics are part of Regionhälsan within public healthcare in the Västra Götaland Region. We are part of a larger context where the midwifery clinics in the Gothenburg area operate together with a gynecology and specialist maternal care clinic, as well as a unit for pregnant women with substance use disorders. The clinics are staffed by midwives and nursing assistants. The midwifery clinics are located adjacent to primary care centers and are part of collaboration with family centers.
As a unit manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances. The assignment also includes workplace environment, quality assurance, and driving the clinics' development forward. You will become part of the area manager's leadership team, and together you will also form a regional management team working toward equitable and integrated care – from pregnancy to contraceptive counseling, cervical cancer screening, and preventive work against STIs.
In close collaboration with colleagues, fellow managers, and leadership, you will have the opportunity to build a workplace characterized by trust, engagement, and quality – with the goal of providing residents with the care they need.
About You
You have university-level education relevant to the position, and management experience within healthcare is a merit. You take initiative, are responsible, and work purposefully toward established goals. Collaboration comes naturally to you, and you have a talent for building good relationships.
We are looking for someone who wants to take on a role in an organization that is constantly evolving. You are goal and results-oriented, but also attentive and inclusive. Through your leadership, you create engagement and participation, and you have the ability to inspire colleagues to contribute to the development of the organization. You keep patients' needs and the organization's mission in focus and want to develop care for both high quality and good accessibility.
We place great importance on communication skills and personal suitability.
What We Offer
We offer a comprehensive onboarding program, region-wide management training, mentoring support and group management coaching as needed, as well as access to management days, seminars, and wellness benefits.
About the Recruitment Process
In this recruitment process, you do not need to submit a personal letter. Instead, you will be asked to answer some questions about your experience. Initial interviews are planned for August 31 and September 1. In a later part of the recruitment process, work psychology tests will be conducted. The management recruitment process in Västra Götaland Region is based on four management criteria: values-based, goal and results-oriented, communicative, and development-oriented leadership.
