The Infectious Diseases and Pulmonology Unit at Visby Hospital has 21 inpatient beds and an outpatient clinic. The unit's mission encompasses infectious medicine, travel medicine and vaccination, pulmonology, and allergology. Specialists are infectious disease physicians with varying degrees of pulmonology and/or allergology expertise, staffing inpatient care, outpatient services, and on-call duties at the emergency department and in home care.
