The Social Office in Strängnäs Municipality is currently divided into six operational areas: Authority, Individual and Family Services, Elderly Care, Services for People with Disabilities, Health and Medical Care, and Administration and Digitalization. We are now looking for a new colleague for the Child and Youth Investigation Unit – an engaged team that puts the individual's needs at the center and actively works for development and improvements. WORK TASKS You work with receiving and handling applications and reports, as well as making assessments and making legally secure decisions. Cooperation with external and internal parties is an important part of the work. You have contact with the individual, children, guardians, and networks and conduct interviews and meetings with relevant parties. The work involves correct and legally secure documentation in the management system Treserva and keeping yourself updated on legislation and legal matters. You actively contribute to the development and improvement of work methods and collaborate closely with colleagues and management to create a safe and professional operation. As a social worker at the Child and Youth Investigation Unit, your main tasks are: • Investigate cases and follow up on interventions. • Conduct protection and preliminary assessments in ongoing cases. • Build good relationships with families and support change work. • Manage placements in emergency foster homes and treatment facilities. • Prepare cases according to LVU and participate in court proceedings. • Write care plans and decision documents. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have: • a degree as a social worker or as a behavioral scientist with specialized education that meets the qualifications for a social worker, • knowledge of legislation and authority practice, • good ability to express yourself clearly in speech and writing in Swedish, • good experience using IT as support in your work, • a Class B driver's license. It is also a merit if you have: • work experience in investigation work with children and young people, • education/experience in Signs of Safety or similar, • education/experience in FREDA, Sara/Patriark, MI, BBIC, SAVRY • worked in the management system Treserva.
