The Operations Department is part of Operations An/Op/ICU and has approximately 80 employees working within anesthesia, surgery, post-op, and sterilization at Alingsås Hospital. We perform everything from simple day surgery procedures to extensive surgery, both planned and emergency. We offer a wide range of services in orthopedics, general surgery, urology, ENT, pediatrics, and pacemaker implantation, making the work varied and stimulating. We work in a structured manner with patient flows and processes to ensure our patients have high accessibility and receive excellent and safe care. Responsibilities As an operating room nurse, you are an important part of the surgery team and work alongside surgeons, anesthesia nurses, nursing assistants, and anesthesiologists in the operating room. You need to be flexible and able to work at a varying pace. You work in a high-tech environment where the patient is the focus, and you are responsible for aseptic technique and sterility. You work independently in your professional role but collaborate closely with the entire team to provide excellent and safe patient care during surgery. Qualifications We are looking for a registered nurse with specialist training in operating room nursing. Previous experience as an operating room nurse is a merit. Your approach is characterized by care for people and you have strong ability to collaborate in interprofessional teams. Terms Working hours are primarily day shifts, Monday through Friday, which gives you weekends and public holidays off. Once you feel confident in your role, you will have the opportunity to also work evenings, weekends, and on-call, as part of our important mission to care for our emergency patients.
