The Technical Division operates independently and consists of five operational areas: Streets/Parks/Harbor, Nyköping Water, Waste Management, Municipal Properties, and Meal Services. These are supported by a project department, finance department, and administrative staff. The division has approximately 400 employees and generates over 1 billion kronor in annual revenue. Our commissioners are the Municipal Executive Board, the Environment and Community Building Committee, and the Culture and Recreation Committee. Streets, Parks, Harbor within the Technical Division is responsible for the operation and maintenance of streets, parks, and Nyköping's harbor on behalf of the Building and Technology Committee, as well as certain recreational facilities on behalf of the Culture and Recreation Committee. The operation ensures that Nyköping has a functional and safe street and road system that meets road users' needs for traffic safety, security, and accessibility. Welcome to a workplace with great variety! 1 position(s). WORK TASKS Streets/Parks/Harbor is now seeking a park worker with supervisory responsibility. As a supervisor, you are responsible for planning and leading the work of one of our work teams. You will participate in the daily work within your maintenance area together with your team. The Parks Department maintains the municipality's parks, green spaces, and playgrounds, and has maintenance contracts with Municipal Properties for schools and preschools. The work includes planting, pruning, tree felling, clearing, grass mowing, maintenance, as well as cleaning and snow removal. The positions include on-call duty during winter. Weekend and off-hours work occurs. QUALIFICATIONS You who apply should have: - horticultural education at least at upper secondary level, or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways - previous experience with park work, maintenance, tree felling, and upkeep of park facilities - experience with supervision in the field - experience operating green space machinery - good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing - At least B driver's license - Good plant knowledge Meritorious qualifications: - chainsaw operation certificate - Operator certificate for wheel loader and excavator - C driver's license - good local knowledge of Nyköping municipality You have a strong interest in green space maintenance.
