Description of the Operation The Waste Department is responsible for the collection and treatment of waste under municipal responsibility. The department is responsible for service development, behavioral initiatives to prevent waste, developing waste plans and regulations, managing the city's closed landfills, and operating the Reuse Center. The Procurement and Services Unit is responsible for procurement, assignment, and monitoring of collection and treatment contractors for food and residual waste, bulky waste, hazardous waste, packaging, return paper, and sludge. Waste treatment should be the most environmentally sound according to the waste hierarchy, and the unit's mission is to steer waste flows to the correct treatment method through services and collection systems. Temporary Assistant Position (~65%) for a 17-Year-Old Girl
We are looking for a female assistant for a temporary position with our client, a 17-year-old cheerful and lively girl with Cerebral Palsy. In her free time, she enjoys going out for coffee, swimming, and taking various trips. She has significant mobility difficulties and therefore needs several assistive devices such as ceiling lifts, standing aids, specially adapted chairs, and various communication aids. As an assistant, you will receive thorough on-the-job training to learn how to use these devices. As an assistant, you will support her in the activities she enjoys doing, both at home and outside the home. You will also accompany her on outings and visits to, for example, rehabilitation centers, orthotic centers, and assistive device centers. It is important that you are a positive, reliable, calm person who is solution-focused and driven. It is important that you have a driver's license and a car, as this is needed to get to where the client lives and because the client has an adapted car (automatic) that is used to drive her to medical appointments and recreational activities. We are looking for someone who can work various shifts: mornings, afternoons, evenings, and occasionally nights with on-call sleeping duties. Some days may involve split shifts where you work a morning shift and an afternoon/evening shift. Most of the time there is double assistance, but there are times when you work alone as an assistant. The schedule is a four-week rotating schedule. This is a temporary position for 2 months starting 2026-08-10 with the possibility of extension. On-the-job training will be provided through hourly employment before the position starts. Statens institutionsstyrelse (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individualized, compulsory care for youth with complex psychosocial challenges and for adults with substance abuse issues. SiS also administers closed youth care. We operate youth residential facilities and homes for adults with substance abuse issues throughout the country. SiS Youth Residential Facility Tysslinge, located outside Södertälje, receives non-compulsory school age boys with psychosocial challenges, criminal involvement, and substance abuse issues. About the Workplace SiS Youth Residential Facility Tysslinge is a maximum security institution that receives youth at high risk for threats, violence, and escape. The facility has seven units total, accommodating youth placed under the Act on Care of Young People (LVU), youth sentenced under the Act on Closed Youth Care (LSU), and one unit consisting of spaces for youth in solitary care (VIE) during certain periods. The majority of our youth are often involved in legal proceedings or already convicted of serious crimes and have connections to criminal networks. School is an important and central part of the youth's care and treatment and is a key protective factor. The school is governed by the Education Act and conducts individualized schooling within introductory programs. Job Description As one of our teachers will be on parental leave, we are seeking a teacher for an extended substitute position through August 31, 2028, with subject qualifications in English and at least one additional upper secondary subject.
