We are strategically committed to adapting to the new Social Services Act and are therefore looking for reliable, stable, and experienced case officers who want to contribute to our continued development. As our employee, you have a responsible assignment to adapt our work together with us to continued changes and act to develop a sustainable working method within IFO Boxholm. With us, you get to be part of a dynamic activity – where your expertise and engagement make a difference, both in people's everyday lives and in how we shape the future of social services. We are looking for someone who enjoys change, has a strong sense of justice, and at the same time sees the value in long-term thinking, structure, and stability. Welcome to a small municipality with big ambitions – where your work is an important part of our shared journey forward. The Social Services Department is responsible for interventions, support, and services to individuals and families in Boxholm Municipality. The operations are governed primarily by the Social Services Act, LSS, and the Health and Medical Care Act, and aim to implement interventions in accordance with these regulations. Our work is characterized by a strong individual focus where every intervention is based on the individual's needs. The task entails great responsibility for treatment, service, and quality – with customer focus and service spirit at the center. In Individual and Family Care, administrative cases are handled within all parts of social services. We strive for a workplace with legally secure case processing for our clients/users and a good working environment for our employees. To create job satisfaction, good quality in our work, and a good working environment, we offer clear leadership, a clear and known salary policy, pleasant working conditions, flexible working hours, and an atmosphere of recognition and honesty. Description of Work Tasks As a children and youth case officer with us, you have an important role in providing children and young people aged 0-20 with the right support at the right time. We work with the entire case-handling process from when an investigation is initiated to decisions and follow-up on interventions. The work includes investigations according to current legislation where the best interests of the child always come first. This means identifying needs, compiling decision-making materials, making decisions, and following up on interventions both in open care and in placements in residential care homes, supported housing, or foster families. You will encounter both short, acute cases and long-term processes where the need for security and support is more extensive. A Varied and Meaningful Workday As a social worker, you have close contact with children and young people, their families, and networks often in vulnerable situations. You collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, other authorities, and colleagues to find sustainable solutions. The role also involves documenting, providing statements to other authorities, and contributing to the development of our methods through environmental monitoring and experience exchange. With us, you have great freedom to plan and structure your workday, while being part of a team where collaboration and support from colleagues, management, and your unit manager is a given. We work together to maintain high quality with a focus on legal certainty, children's right to participation, and professional conduct. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is educated as a social worker or has another university degree that the employer deems equivalent, in accordance with current regulations. We hope that you have at least three years of experience in social work or other relevant work deemed equivalent. You have the ability to make quick and clear decisions, both independently and with others. You also have good initiative. You have the ability to work with other people; to listen, show empathy, and respect. You are unpretentious and recognize and reward others' contributions. You have the ability to write clearly, concisely, and in a well-structured manner, and you can adapt your writing based on the intended target audience. You have the ability to plan and organize your work. You find it easy to set goals, organize resources, follow up, and conclude activities. Other Information The position is a one-year temporary assignment during parental leave, with the possibility of extension. With us, you work 39 hours per week – an investment in balance and job satisfaction. What does actually one hour less per week mean: "This equals a total of more than 6 extra days off per year – without needing to take vacation." Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Fixed-term contract. Duration: Until further notice, start date: 2027-01-01 Start date by agreement, end date: 2027-12-31. Working hours: Daytime.
