The unit will be built up with four mobile interprofessional teams consisting of physicians, psychologists, social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, and healthcare administrators. In total, the unit will have approximately 25 employees. The target group consists of children and young people with complex psychiatric and social comorbidity, often with experience of care breakdowns, repeated placements, and serious mental health issues. The catchment area covers the entire Västra Götaland region. Initially, the service will focus on adolescents placed in SiS homes in the region. Over time, children and young people in HVB homes and within the Prison Service are also planned to be included in the mandate.
