The medical operations of Nearby Care Area West include scheduled clinics in acute care, general internal medicine, endocrinology, gastroenterology, cardiology, rheumatology, neurology, and nephrology. In Sollefteå, there is an opportunity to work within all specialties, but the primary need is for expertise in neurology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, and general internal medicine. We are now seeking a senior physician with specialist competence in internal medicine for the internal medicine clinic and emergency department in Sollefteå. The position is a 6-month temporary assignment, full-time, with the possibility of extension. Start date by agreement. Duties Department work Outpatient clinic work On-call/backup on-call duties Clinical supervision of our trainee physicians at AT/BT and ST levels Qualifications We are looking for someone who: Is a specialist physician in internal medicine Has at least 3 years of full-time clinical service after obtaining specialist competence within the relevant base specialty Holds backup on-call competence and can work independently as backup on-call Holds a B driver's license It is meritorious if you: Are a specialist physician in endocrinology Have a defined medical responsibility and/or knowledge area Have teaching and/or mentoring experience Have leadership and administrative experience/education Have a doctoral degree with active research within a relevant subject area Have other meritorious research qualifications To succeed in the role, we believe you have these personal qualities: Integrity Collaboration ability Judgment Holistic perspective Region Västernorrland With approximately 7,000 employees and over 200 professions, Region Västernorrland is responsible for several of the operations that are most important for residents' ability to participate in society.
