Our experienced ophthalmologist specialists work with complementary expertise in areas such as cataracts, glaucoma, and retina including medical treatments. We have modern technical equipment and efficient patient flows that create good conditions for quality and sustainable work.
The clinic is characterized by good atmosphere, close collaboration, and short decision-making paths. You will receive support from competent nursing assistants, opticians, ophthalmic nurses, and administrative staff who contribute to well-functioning outpatient and surgical operations.
We are now looking for a competent and engaged colleague who is an ophthalmology specialist to join our outpatient clinic and help develop the business together with us.
The Role
As an ophthalmology specialist at Aleris Ögon Uppsala, you will work in specialized outpatient ophthalmology with broad outpatient work. You are responsible for investigation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients with various eye diseases.
The work also includes referral assessment, documentation, and quality assurance according to current guidelines. You work independently but in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team consisting of ophthalmologists, opticians, ophthalmic nurses, nursing assistants, and administrative staff. Patient flows are well-organized and create good conditions for an efficient and sustainable work approach.

About You
Requirements:
Licensed physician with specialist competence in ophthalmology
Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
Experience with independent outpatient work in eye care
Meritorious:
Experience working in private care or patient choice systems
Special interest or expertise in, for example, retina or glaucoma
