Region Uppsala war-places all permanent employees according to the defense establishment's needs. This means for the individual employee no obligations in peacetime but is solely a planning measure.
Before making an employment decision, a check of suspicion and burden registers is conducted for all job seekers who in the sought position may work in psychiatric care, rehabilitation, care of children and youth, or compulsory treatment of substance abusers, areas covered by optional register extracts. This applies to all those who will work directly with patients, even if the work tasks currently are not intended to mainly involve work with the above-mentioned patient groups.
