Our Operations International Office is a support function for Region Uppsala's healthcare and dental care operations regarding internationally educated professionals' pathway to Swedish licensure and specialist competence, as well as work permits and international recruitment. Through guidance, coordination, and knowledge of regulations, we facilitate processes that are often complex and time-consuming, so that the operations can focus on their core mission. We are a team of four people working to support operations and employees through various stages of establishing themselves in Swedish healthcare. Our tasks range from supporting work permit matters and introducing Swedish healthcare to preparations for competency tests and language development initiatives in collaboration with Region Uppsala's language education. Our support is directed at all 22 licensed professions. Your Assignment As a coordinator regarding matters related to the pathway to Swedish licensure and specialist certification, you have a central role in supporting operations and internationally educated employees within Region Uppsala. Your assignment includes both operational work and strategic development. You are responsible for matters concerning the pathway to Swedish licensure and Swedish specialist certification and serve as qualified support to both managers and employees. The work includes both individual cases and development of methods and support measures at the organizational level. The role involves many contact points and great independence. You guide managers, employees, and prospective employees through various processes, answer questions, collaborate with authorities and educational providers, and contribute to developing the region's support for this target group. Description Unit BUP Serious Behavioral Disorders (BUP-ANB) is a new regional operation starting in 2026. Approximately 25 employees will work in the operation in total. The target group is children and young people with extensive psychiatric and social comorbidity. Many have experienced care breakdown, repeated placements, and serious mental health issues such as self-harm, trauma, or behavioral disorders. The service area covers all of Västra Götaland. Initially, the operation targets young people placed in SiS homes in the region. In the long term, children and young people placed in HVB homes and within the Prison and Probation Service are planned to be included. The unit is organizationally part of the Neurology and Child Psychiatry operation at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, within the Child Psychiatric 24-Hour Care and Special Clinics section. Our Operations Psychiatry Ward 3B provides specialized psychiatric 24-hour care for patients with affective conditions such as severe depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and severe anxiety conditions. We are part of the Section for Affective Disorders, which is a specialized psychiatric operation within the psychiatry operations area and consists of both 24-hour care and several outpatient clinics. We are located in modern facilities where 24-hour care, outpatient care, and acute psychiatric care are all under one roof. We also have a nursing round every week and regular supervision for the nursing team.
