About Furan Furan is a homelike residence for elderly people with dementia. We offer individually adapted care. There are 32 residents distributed across four units. We are a dementia-certified residence, which means that everyone who works here is trained in dementia care and person-centered approaches through Vardaga's Dementia Academy. We apply needs-based flexible scheduling. This means that as an employee, you have the opportunity to influence your own working hours, based on needs and preferences. We create schedules for 10 weeks at a time. We collaborate with the company Young Care. This means that a team of young people aged 14–18 visit us on weekends and holidays. Young Care organizes various activities to add extra sparkle to the lives of our residents. You have a group leader who spends most of their time working close to you in the operations. Becoming a group leader can also be a career opportunity for you as a nursing assistant. Here we work with animals in care and regularly have visits from therapy dogs. We are constantly working to come up with new, exciting activities for our residents. For example, we have introduced VR technology that makes it possible to experience various travels, adventures, or games through VR glasses. With your help, our residents can maintain their way of life and their habits. You see each person and interpret what they need.
