Eye Clinic, Nyköping Hospital About Us Region Sörmland's eye clinic is a regional clinic with offices at hospitals in Eskilstuna, Nyköping, and Katrineholm. We perform approximately 60,000 visits per year and operate both surgical and outpatient services including emergency services. Nyköping is an office with approximately 28 employees. Your Responsibilities As a nurse or master's optometrist at our eye clinic, you will have varied and engaging work. The duties at the clinic include preparing patients for doctor visits with various examinations, but you may also have your own independent clinics, for example photographing the eye fundus and visual field testing. A large patient group for us consists of those with macular degeneration. These conditions are treated with intravitreal injections, which our nurses, after training, perform.
