Assistant Minister at Mikael's Congregation with focus on Swedish-Finnish ministry The Swedish Church's Swedish-Finnish work in Örebro encompasses the entire pastorate but is physically located at Mikael's Congregation. Many Swedish-Finns regularly come here for both Finnish-language and bilingual services, as well as a wide range of activities for all ages. Within this community, there is a desire for the priest's presence and for deeper spiritual engagement. The Swedish-Finnish team consists of a priest, a diaconal assistant, and an administrator, but is also part of the work team at Mikael's Congregation. Duties: In your role as a priest in the Örebro Pastorate's Swedish-Finnish ministry, you will celebrate Mass regularly, both in Finnish and Swedish. In Swedish-Finnish work, you are responsible for services, church rites, pastoral care, teaching, services at senior care facilities, and devotions in various settings. We hope you feel comfortable working with both the elderly and children and their families. The position also includes considerable networking with congregations in the pastorate, with other Swedish-Finnish organizations, and with the municipality and region, as Örebro County is a Swedish-Finnish administrative area. An important part is working for cooperation and integration between the Swedish-Finnish community and the Swedish-speaking congregation. As a priest in the Örebro Pastorate, you will also be part of shared vacation schedules and are expected to conduct Swedish-language church rites and services in our various churches, as well as participate in pastorate-wide activities.
