Planning Architect

Would you like to be part of developing the Habo of the future with us? One of our planning architects is moving on to new challenges, and we are now looking for a replacement. You will be part of the planning and development unit and join a committed team of two additional planning architects and one land and development engineer. Habo Municipality is located in an expanding region, so you will work with various types of projects and assignments within community development. WORK TASKS Your main responsibilities include developing detailed plans, as well as participating in the creation of comprehensive studies and programs. You have overall responsibility for projects and the entire planning process and manage 3-5 assignments in parallel according to set goals, timelines, and agreements. Part of the work involves project management where your task is to coordinate and lead the work. We are working to digitalize the building process, so part of your work will involve developing the operations. You work in close dialogue with residents and in collaboration with politicians and external stakeholders. We have close and excellent cooperation with other units and administrations in the municipality. You will have the opportunity to influence both the function and design of areas, buildings, and public spaces, as well as develop strategic objectives that affect future development. You also have an advisory role in planning matters, both internally and externally. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone educated as a planning architect, landscape architect, architect, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You need to be well versed in developing detailed plans according to processes under the Planning and Building Act and the Environmental Code. It is a merit if you have experience in project management, and likewise if you have practical experience in detailed planning work through employment, internship, or thesis work. Experience working in a politically governed organization is a merit. It is also a merit if you have worked with Geosecma and AutoCad or similar software. You have strong commitment and interest in community planning, urban development, and design, as well as the will and drive to create good results. The ability to collaborate, build trust, and take personal responsibility are highly valued. We will therefore place great emphasis on personal qualities. Since you often work in close dialogue with residents, politicians, and external stakeholders, you need to be comfortable expressing yourself in good Swedish, both in writing and speech, and that you can adapt to different target groups.
