About the Position As a nursing assistant with us, you have a caring role where you plan and perform daily patient care together with the rest of the team. Our team includes nursing assistants and registered nurses, a coordinating nursing assistant, rehabilitation staff, and physicians. We offer flexible scheduling. You'll work 37 hours per week, with day/evening shifts and every other weekend. Your responsibilities include: Daily patient care Mobilization Wound dressing changes Blood sampling Capillary blood tests Vital sign monitoring Documentation What We Offer: Individually designed orientation based on your competence and experience. About You For this position, you need: Training as a nursing assistant Applied for protected professional title Good or very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Good computer and system skills It's a plus if you also have: Focus on acute care Professional experience in acute care Mentor training For this role, you need to be self-directed and able to take responsibility for your own tasks. You should have personal maturity and empathic ability, as these are qualities we highly value on Ward 2. You work well in collaboration and contribute through your commitment and positive attitude to the ward's good results. About Us On Ward 2, we work in interdisciplinary teams consisting of physicians, registered nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapist, social worker, dietitian, speech therapist, and physical therapist. We also have a coordinating nursing assistant Monday-Friday who handles all incoming calls, transport orders, logistical planning of patient admissions and discharges, internal hospital contacts, and communication with external facilities. Norrtälje Hospital is a smaller acute care hospital characterized by a pleasant atmosphere and close collaboration between different professions and departments. The ward has 24 patient beds, divided between 12-15 orthopedic beds and 8-12 stroke and neurological beds. We conduct both acute and elective orthopedic surgical operations.
