Are you drawn to work that involves quick decisions and problem-solving? Do you work as a paramedic today? Then maybe we're looking for you. Duties As a paramedic, you work with a unique range of patients - from newborn babies to people at the end of life. You need to be comfortable with varying pace and be prepared for the unexpected during your shifts. You work in close collaboration with a nurse and together you meet the patient, assess the situation, and create a caring environment. A large part of the work involves patient care and understanding other people's situations. The work requires you to independently make many decisions and you collaborate extensively with the emergency department and the emergency dispatch center. You also collaborate with the police and rescue services during coordinated emergencies and joint responses. Duty is 24/7. Here's how one of our paramedics describes the work: "The job itself is fun and varied, it's exciting because you never know how a day will unfold or what you'll encounter. We meet people of all ages, from newborns to the dying, and it's very developmental. I think I have the world's best colleagues. While we have a cheerful and humorous atmosphere, we can also become incredibly focused on the task when the alarm goes off. We have great camaraderie."
