Technician Home Transport, Assistive Technology Center Eastern Skåne
1 position(s). We are now looking for a new colleague in the Home Transport department—could you be our next star? We offer you a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with flexible working hours. Assistive Technology Center Eastern Skåne is located in the Ängamöllan industrial area, with direct bus access nearby. We look forward to your application! Your Role with Us The technician position in Home Transport primarily involves delivering and picking up assistive devices at users' homes in regular or specialized housing, as well as assembly/disassembly and installation of various assistive devices. On Home Transport, you always work in pairs with another technician. Delivery and pickup of assistive devices are conducted using light trucks operated on a Class B driver's license. Our users are 20 years and older. The most common assistive devices we work with are care beds, mobile and stationary lifts, walkers, wheelchairs, and hygiene aids. You start and end each workday at HÖS and take responsibility for your own documentation and work planning in our management system. At HÖS we support each other and may need to step in to other roles where needed. The unit currently consists of 19 permanent positions with two other specialist technician roles in addition to Home Transport: On Field Service, you work largely independently within your service zone in HÖS's operational area, responsible for repairs, adaptation of assistive devices, preventive maintenance, installations, inspections, and more at customers' homes and housing for elderly and disabled persons in Eastern Skåne. In Reconditioning, you work independently as part of a group of technicians at HÖS's workshop, reconditioning, restoring, and adapting assistive devices for delivery. Who Are We Looking For? You ideally have completed upper secondary education with a technical focus in industrial/automotive technology, or other experience the employer deems equivalent. We also appreciate experience as a service technician, workshop work, assembly, or similar. As a technician, you have significant independent responsibility and plan your work yourself, but also collaboratively in a group, which requires both accountability, cooperation, and organizational skills. All work comes through work orders, is documented, and reported in our management system. It is crucial that this is done correctly for workflow to function both internally and externally, meaning you need basic computer skills and ideally experience working with some form of management system. Contact with clients and users occurs daily, both by phone and email, requiring good social skills, the ability to communicate with many different people/functions, and fluent Swedish communication both spoken and written. You have a Class B driver's license to easily get around to our customers. Since heavy lifting and some awkward work positions may occur and you move around considerably during a workday, you must have good physical capability. As a person, you remain calm and stable in stressful situations and can focus on what matters. We meet people who may be in emotionally difficult situations, requiring you to read situations well and adapt accordingly. You treat others in a service-oriented and accommodating manner. We also want you to be flexible and quickly adapt to new circumstances, seeing opportunities in change. You are curious, enjoy challenges, have a positive attitude, and recognize the equal value of all people. Workload is sometimes high, so you need to be stress-resilient. You must understand the flow in our operations. Delivering good service and high quality is a given for you. You have the ability to plan and organize your work while also setting goals, organizing resources, following up, and closing activities. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
