Many adults in Sweden care for, help, or support a close relative at some point in their lives who is chronically ill, elderly, or has a disability. When this occurs regularly, more than once a month, it is referred to as family caregiving or family care. The Prevention Unit offers and provides support to family caregivers for their own wellbeing. The goal is to improve quality of life, reduce the burden on caregivers, and minimize the risk of caregivers experiencing health problems themselves. Support is available for family caregivers whose relatives are adults living independently. Currently, family caregivers can access support in the form of counseling, health-promoting activities, caregiver training, and flexible relief care. Paid family caregiving is managed by the family caregiver consultant within Prevention. We are now looking for someone who would like to work as a temporary family caregiver consultant with us! Your Responsibilities As a family caregiver consultant, you offer support through individual conversations, information, advice, and guidance based on the caregiver's situation and needs. You plan and conduct training sessions, lectures, and activities, and handle and manage paid family caregiving.
