On the acute care ward, we care for, treat and evaluate children and adolescents 0–18 years old who need a few days of hospital care. Common patient groups are children with infections, kidney or heart problems. At the acute clinic for children and young people, we receive children and adolescents with acute medical, orthopedic and surgical diseases and injuries. The operation is open 24/7 and the pace varies from day to day. Within specialized pediatrics 95 E, highly specialized investigations and treatments are carried out within our day care flow. We are a committed and multidisciplinary team with the sick child and family at the center. WORK ASSIGNMENTS We are now welcoming a nurse to our infectious disease clinic with an assignment in the Needle Exchange Program for a temporary position that extends over one year. The two main purposes of the needle exchange program in accordance with the needle exchange act are to prevent blood-borne infections and to curatively work toward freedom from drugs. You work in a team together with doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, a social worker, and a midwife. The main work assignments are the management of infections in the target group.
