Job Responsibilities
We are seeking nurses for the Emergency Medical Dispatch Center in Västmanland. As a nurse at the Dispatch Center, you will receive calls related to healthcare and people in crisis from the emergency number 112. Would you like to work in a small team with high responsibility and a focus on patient care? With us, you will receive individual introductory training at the start of your employment as a Dispatch Operator, with mentoring and onboarding tailored to your needs. Collaboration with SOS Alarm, rescue services, police, and healthcare providers is also part of the work, as are referrals to the appropriate level of care.

About the Workplace
The Emergency Medical Dispatch Center is responsible for medical prioritization and dispatch of ambulance resources in Västmanland.
We collaborate with the regions of Uppsala, Sörmland, and Värmland. Together, we serve approximately 1.3 million residents. The dispatch centers are located in Uppsala, Västerås, Eskilstuna, and Karlstad. The Emergency Medical Dispatch Center also operates in the Västra Götaland Region, where we together assist nearly a quarter of Sweden's population.
Emergency Medical Dispatch Center Västmanland is part of Ambulance Services within Region Västmanland.

Qualifications
We are seeking someone who is a licensed nurse with at least two years of experience.
The position requires that you are attentive, solution-oriented, and able to make decisions based on the information you receive during calls. The job tasks require that you have full command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You also have good knowledge of English. Additional language skills are considered a merit.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. It is an advantage if you have experience in emergency care and/or telephone health advice.
Terms of Employment
We offer a permanent employment contract with a start date by mutual agreement. Position based in Västerås. The position is full-time with shifts including day/evening/night. There is also an opportunity to rotate toward ambulance/other activities.
We have a favorable working hours model and provide introductory training when you start with us.
