The Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy Unit (AFE) is an independent unit that, as of January 1, 2026, belongs to the Health Professions operation. AFE provides occupational therapy and physical therapy services to all departments at Södersjukhuset. AFE employs approximately 15 occupational therapists and 35 physical therapists. We are organized with two rehabilitation managers, one for occupational therapists and one for physical therapists, as well as three unit managers responsible for the daily operations of four competency areas. Job Description We are now seeking an occupational therapist for our neurology department. The duties consist of performing occupational therapy assessments and interventions within the framework of acute neurology in inpatient care. The occupational therapist works with assessment of personal care, cognition, hand function and overall functioning, as well as interventions linked to your assessment. This includes ADL training, prescription of assistive devices, hand training, and follow-up on the patient's rehabilitation/post-care needs. As we have extensive collaboration with Karolinska Institute, supervision of term 4 students may occur.
