Grästorp Municipality is looking for a community planner with broad expertise – with emphasis on development projects, physical planning, and collaboration with businesses and regional stakeholders. We are seeking a community planner who wants to take an active role in the municipality's development. The position offers varied responsibilities where you will work with everything from strategic planning and development issues to land and development matters, business establishments, infrastructure issues, and public transportation. This is a position for someone who appreciates variety, independence, and the opportunity to contribute to the municipality's development on both large and small matters. Job Responsibilities As a community planner, you will have a key role in the municipality's development. The position is broad and varied, and suits you if you want to work with the entire community development chain – from strategic planning to implementation. You will work on community planning issues in general, such as physical planning, land and development, business establishments, infrastructure, public transportation, and development projects. The role involves many points of contact and close collaboration with politicians, colleagues, residents, businesses, authorities, and other municipalities. Qualifications We are looking for someone with higher education or university education in an area that the employer deems relevant for the assignment, such as community planning, land surveying, or physical planning. It is a merit if you have experience working within community development, physical planning, land and development matters, project management, traffic and mobility issues, or working in a politically governed organization. To succeed in this role, you are self-driven, organized, and have the ability to advance initiatives. You thrive in a broad role where multiple interests need to be balanced and where work tasks can vary over time. You work with a holistic perspective and can analyze how decisions affect other parts of the organization, residents, and community development in general. You see connections and can identify opportunities for collaboration and joint solutions. Sustainability is a natural part of your working method and you actively contribute to creating long-term sustainable solutions. Since the role involves many points of contact, it is important that you have good collaboration skills, an ease for building trusting relationships, and can express yourself well in speech and writing.
