Assistant Professor in Archaeology
The Department of Archaeology, Ancient History and Conservation, Uppsala University, is seeking an Assistant Professor in Archaeology with placement at Campus Gotland in Visby. The position involves being part of a dynamic and expanding research environment with close to one hundred employees in both Visby and Uppsala. The combined departmental environment includes seven main subject areas with teaching at undergraduate, advanced, and doctoral levels: Ancient Culture and Society, Archaeology, Assyriology, Egyptology, Conservation, Osteology, and Global Environmental History. The Department's activities at Campus Gotland are in an expansive phase and currently include about thirty employees working in conservation, archaeology, and osteology.
