Work with Arcade Machines – We'll Teach You Everything, No Experience Required
Want to learn a practical job working with arcade machines? No experience necessary. You don't need to be a trained technician. You don't need to have done this before. If you have a B driver's license, you're handy, and you like figuring out how things work – we'll teach you the rest from scratch. ABOUT PLAYFUN PlayFun places arcade machines in restaurants, bars, shopping centers, stores, and campgrounds, from Stockholm down to Gothenburg. Sometimes it's just a single kiddie ride in a mall, sometimes an entire arcade hall with 40 machines. Every month, thousands of people have fun thanks to our machines. Now we're growing – during 2026 and 2027 we're opening several new locations, and we're looking for you to help build them. PlayFun is operated by ShopShop Finans AB. WHAT A TYPICAL WEEK LOOKS LIKE You work out of our warehouse in Linköping and drive out in your work vehicle according to a route schedule. At customer locations, you make your rounds: clean the machines, test play them, refill plush toys and prizes, put back items that visitors have moved, and fix anything that's broken. If something more serious needs attention – a loose button, a disconnected cable, a card reader that's jamming – you troubleshoot and replace parts. If you get stuck, you call us. You're home every evening. This isn't a job where you sleep away from home. In between, you work at the warehouse in Linköping: refurbishing machines, preparing for upcoming openings, and organizing spare parts and tools. A few times a year we open a new location. Then you receive the shipment from abroad, unpack the machines, and install them on site. Those are the most fun days – and the longest. You get compensated for extra hours with time off afterward. ABOUT THE POSITION Permanent employment with standard probation period. The position is currently approximately 80 percent, four days a week according to route schedule, and will grow to full-time as we open more locations during 2026 and 2027. Having three days off per week during the startup phase is an advantage if you're studying or have something else going on on the side. Start date: as soon as possible, at the latest in September. YOU WORK MOSTLY ON YOUR OWN No boss breathing down your neck, no time clock. We have a weekly meeting together, and in between, you largely structure your day as you like. The important thing is that the locations are visited according to schedule and maintained in top condition. This suits you if you like freedom with responsibility – and if you're comfortable with your own company in the car. HERE'S WHAT YOU GET Your own work vehicle. Comprehensive training from the ground up – we handle everything, you don't need to know anything in advance. Salary according to current agreement, plus growth bonus: for each new PlayFun location that opens, your salary increases. It's not some distant promise, you'll see it in your paycheck. Great freedom to structure your own day. Opportunity to take on greater responsibility as we open more locations. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR B driver's license (required). Reliable – customers count on the machines working. Handy and like solving problems on your own. Can lift and move heavy machines, often together with a colleague or with a dolly. Willing to learn. If you've tinkered with cars or mopeds, built your own computer, worked in a warehouse, retail store, restaurant, as a caretaker, or as an assembler – or just graduated high school and are a very driven person – then you're interesting to us. The willingness to learn has to come from you. We'll handle the rest. HOW TO APPLY It should be simple. Email [email protected] and write your name and phone number, what city you live in, whether you have a B driver's license, a few lines about something you've fixed, built, or solved yourself – it doesn't matter if it's a moped, a computer, a bike, or something at home – and when you could start. You don't need a CV or cover letter. Please include your salary expectations if you have them. If you're not sure what to ask for, say so, and we'll discuss that in the interview instead. Do you have a question before you apply? Email it, and we'll answer. You can apply even if you're unsure whether you're a good fit. That's exactly the question we'd like to work through together with you. We review applications continuously and will be in touch within 24 hours. Open to Everyone We focus on your skills, not your other circumstances. We're open to adapting the role or workplace to suit your needs.
