The increased need means that the Security division is now strengthening its team in Örebro/Karlskoga with an experienced design engineer.
Here you will become part of an experienced specialist team with project managers, design engineers, constructors, and technical product specialists who together deliver security technology solutions to customers with high demands for safety and quality, primarily within the defense industry.
About the role
As a design engineer, you are responsible for independently driving your design assignments from requirements to finished documentation. The work includes both system design, technical documentation, and coordination throughout the design process. You report to the project manager and work closely with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
Your work tasks include, among other things:
Design and document security technology systems according to customer requirements and applicable regulations.
Develop solution proposals, drawings, installation documents, and system documentation.
Drive your own design assignments and ensure quality, function, and delivery.
Participate in project reviews and collaborate with project managers, customers, and suppliers.
Provide technical support to customers and colleagues.
Plan and structure your own work.
You will also contribute to the development of design processes, documentation structure, and standardized technical working methods.
Work location: Karlskoga/Örebro or Linköping
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with several years of experience in design engineering, preferably within the security industry or related technical fields. You have a good understanding of how complex security systems are built and enjoy combining detailed technical work with customer communication and collaboration.
You work in a structured manner and see documentation as a natural part of a well-executed project. At the same time, you appreciate finding smarter working methods and contributing to the development of both processes and technical solutions.
Requirements for the position:
Relevant education, minimum upper secondary level.
At least five years of experience in design engineering.
Experience designing security technology systems.
Good experience with CAD and other relevant design tools.
Good computer skills and experience with the Office package.
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is an advantage if you have experience with relevant regulations, installation technology, or security systems such as ARX, Milestone, or similar platforms.
