We work closely with the hospital's neonatal department located in nearby facilities. We are now seeking a registered nurse for Department 12. This is a permanent full-time position. The employment is a resource position with temporary placement on the Maternity/Gynecological Care Department 12. Start date immediately or by agreement. Duties On Department 12 in Sundsvall, gynecological and obstetric patients are cared for. As a registered nurse, you are primarily responsible for our gynecological patients and occasionally lighter obstetric cases. We care for women pre- and post-operatively, in early pregnancy, miscarriage and abortion, gynecological cancer, and end-of-life care. By utilizing patients' and relatives' knowledge and experience, you provide high-quality care. About the Operations Surgical Acute Care Unit (KAVA) is the county hospital's acute care department for patients within the surgical clinic. KAVA has 18 inpatient beds and receives the majority of patients admitted through the emergency department in general surgery. Common diagnoses here include trauma, appendicitis, cholecystitis, ileus, and gastrointestinal bleeding. We also have the unique capability to perform gastroscopies on the unit. We have initiated a collaboration with Professor Anna Forsberg and work according to an approach based on continuity and secure care relationships. Together, we develop structures that strengthen the quality of care and create conditions for safe and cohesive care. On the unit, we work with Cosmic Nova, a digital tool that gives you a comprehensive and current overview of your patients. With a personal tablet that you carry with you during your shift, you have easy access to, for example, patient information and planned interventions. The tool provides you with clear structure and facilitates planning of your daily work. About the Operations The Northern Primary Care Area encompasses the hospital in Örnsköldsvik and six regionally operated health centers. The area also includes a private health center and a municipal operation. The Northern Primary Care Area has approximately 530 employees and two operations managers. The Hematology and Nephrology Department in Örnsköldsvik is part of the Northern Primary Care Area. The department has specialist expertise in hematology and renal care. We are now expanding our operations and seeking four nurses who want to be part of developing care together with us. You will receive individualized orientation from experienced nurses in the department. Working hours are scheduled for day and evening shifts. You work two out of five weekends and have the opportunity to work nights. You will become a stable resource for healthcare in Örnsköldsvik. Region Västernorrland is now setting up a new staffing centre within the Production Support Unit (EPS) - a long-term, region-wide resource that will ensure safe and high-quality staffing for both short-term absences and planned needs. As part of the staffing centre's resource team, you will be part of a group of permanent nurses. Together you will staff care wards at the hospital in Örnsköldsvik, with a clear focus on quality, expertise and continuity of care. You will become part of a strategic initiative aimed at reducing vulnerability, strengthening healthcare conditions and contributing to a more sustainable staffing model for the entire region.
