About the Operations The Orthopedics area is part of county healthcare services and conducts both planned and acute operations focused on orthopedic injuries and diseases. This also includes the Orthopedic Technical Department. We work close to patients in care teams with physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. We are now seeking a nurse for a temporary assignment as nursing manager for the Orthopedic Department in Örnsköldsvik. The position is a permanent position as a nurse in principle with a locum assignment as nursing manager through January 31, 2027. Duties In the role of nursing manager, you will work to create good organizational and work environment conditions for staff together with unit managers. You will support and guide your colleagues in, among other things, care and treatment based on guidelines and governing documents. An increased understanding of patient flows contributes to care being delivered efficiently and safely. As a nursing manager, you will, among other things, work with: - Coordinating, prioritizing, and leading the team's daily work - Creating structure and security by coordinating staffing - Introducing new employees to working methods, routines, and scheduling - Leading reflection and promoting a good work environment and patient-safe care through present and coaching leadership - Driving and participating in improvement and change initiatives and contributing to internal training within operations - Contributing to high patient safety and guiding staff, for example, in case of incidents - Using in-depth knowledge of crisis and command situations to support operations as needed - Performing administrative tasks such as managing credentials, reports, and training initiatives in various systems As a nursing manager with us, you are one of two nursing managers who share the management assignment Monday–Friday. The weeks you do not have management responsibility, you participate in rotation duty with three shifts and work every fourth weekend. During these periods, you work clinically as a nurse in the team, which contributes to continuity, presence, and a close connection to operations.
