The Oncology Clinic consists of an outpatient clinic/day care unit, a clinical trial unit, radiation therapy, and an inpatient ward. Patients come to the outpatient clinic for assessment and follow-up of oncological treatment: chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Chemotherapy is administered at the day care unit. In day surgery, we care for patients and prepare them for their day surgery operations. In the recovery ward, all operated patients are admitted and monitored after surgery is complete. We offer a combined service where work in both day surgery and the post-operative ward is included. Regional healthcare operations are conducted at three hospitals—Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik—and at a number of clinics located in several towns throughout the region. The Addiction Team is a region-wide team connected to psychiatric inpatient care at Department 7 in Sundsvall. The team functions as a link between psychiatric inpatient, intermediate, and outpatient care, primary care, municipalities, health and medical services, and provides all actors with consultative support while serving as a center of expertise. The team plans care before, during, and after inpatient treatment and is an important link in the care chain for individuals. The Addiction Team provides guidance and support to the region's municipalities, primary care, and other care partners, and implements clinical interventions of an outpatient nature. The team, currently consisting of two coordinators, a nurse, a social worker, and a physician, will be strengthened with additional staff to provide treatment services for direct work with patients with harmful use and substance dependence combined with psychiatric issues. We are also responsible for the agency's internal and external communication. The Communication Unit coordinates and drives the development of the agency's internal and external communication. We do this so that communication helps increase awareness of our services and strengthen our target groups' confidence in us. We provide strategic and operational support in the agency's national projects and processes. We are responsible for strategies and guidelines in this area so that the agency's joint communication is clear, coherent, and easily accessible. The unit has 15 employees located at several different offices in Sweden, which means we make extensive use of digital tools for work and remote meetings such as Zoom, Teams, or Skype.
