About the Operation

For patients who receive care over extended periods, there is a risk of reduced activity, social isolation, and difficulties maintaining daily living skills. The Resource Center therefore has an important task in creating structure, coherence, and meaning during the care period. We offer patients educational, habilitation, and rehabilitation services as well as health promotion and creative activities. The Resource Center is now entering a new development phase and becoming its own unit within the clinic-wide resource operations. The unit consists of seven rehabilitation assistants plus the combined management and team position that we are now recruiting for. Together, you will be eight employees.
At the Resource Center, you will lead the development of an operation where meaningful activities are used to create structure, strengthen abilities, and help patients take concrete steps forward in the care process. The management assignment comprises 25% of the position. During the remaining 75%, you will be part of the team and participate in the unit's regular work based on operational needs and your expertise. Management responsibility applies throughout the entire assignment, which requires you to combine proximity to the work group with clarity in your role as an employer representative.
The employment is a permanent position in your base profession, and the management assignment is time-limited according to the Region's leadership policy. As a manager in Region Västernorrland, you represent the employer and exercise leadership grounded in good self-awareness and characterized by honesty, openness, responsibility, and personal courage.
Work Tasks
As unit manager, you report directly to the operations manager for clinic-wide resource operations. Together with your employees, you create structure, common working methods, and clear priorities.
Your management assignment includes:
- leading, allocating, implementing, and monitoring the unit's operational work
- clarifying the Resource Center's mission and role in the clinic-wide care process
- creating conditions for participation, accountability, competence development, and good collaboration
- developing common working methods for referrals, planning, implementation, documentation, and follow-up of patient interventions
- strengthening collaboration with care units and other professions at the clinic
- conducting systematic work environment, quality, and patient safety work
- managing the unit's resource use and budget within set limits
- identifying relevant goals and indicators, tracking results, and reporting to the operations manager
- driving operational development and promoting continuous improvements in accordance with the clinic's quality and management systems
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
- Relevant education in healthcare or equivalent education relevant to the field of operations
- Work experience in leadership, management, or coordination
- Experience with patient-, client-, or user-centered work within care, social services, rehabilitation, habilitation, or educational activities
- Experience working both independently and as part of a team
- Experience planning, implementing, documenting, and following up on interventions
- Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, corresponding to the requirements for patient communication, collaboration, and documentation
It is advantageous if you have:
- Leadership or management training
- Work experience in psychiatric or forensic psychiatric care
- Experience with group activities and educational, habilitation, or rehabilitation services
- Experience with operational development or change management
- Experience with personnel and work environment responsibility
