About the Operations The Oncology Clinic provides specialized cancer care and treatment. The operations work according to a shared care philosophy and value base, where great consideration is given to patient needs and wishes. The Oncology Clinic consists of an outpatient clinic/day care unit, a clinical trial unit, radiation therapy, and an inpatient ward. Patients come to the outpatient clinic for assessment and follow-up of oncological treatment: chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Chemotherapy is administered at the day care unit. The radiation therapy department has two linear accelerators and provides radiation therapy to patients from all of the region's administrations as well as to patients from Jämtland County according to regional agreement. The clinic also conducts isotope therapy. The inpatient ward provides palliative treatment, such as pain management, infection treatment, and nausea management. The clinical trial unit conducts clinical research, primarily drug studies where new cancer medications are tested according to strict protocols. We are now seeking a Specialist Physician for the Oncology Clinic in Sundsvall. This is a permanent full-time position with start date by agreement. Duties As a specialist physician, you will work in the inpatient ward, medical outpatient clinic, and with radiation therapy. You will also participate in method development and training.
