Do you want to help create the best conditions for equitable education? At the Swedish Agency for Special Needs Education and Schools (SPSM), we work to ensure that all children, students, and adult learners with disabilities achieve the goals of their education. We operate our own special schools in various locations throughout Sweden. We also provide support to preschools and schools across the country to together create learning environments that are developmental and accessible. Additionally, we distribute state grants and develop educational materials. We hope that you, with your background and expertise, can help increase our diversity. More about what we offer can be found at www.spsm.se/ledigajobb Within the Communications and Development operational area, we work with analysis, evaluation, environmental monitoring, and innovation, and lead the authority's development portfolio. We communicate research and knowledge relevant to the special education field. We are responsible for the authority's digitalization, service development, and new system solutions. We are also responsible for the authority's internal and external communications. The Communications Unit coordinates and drives the development of the authority's internal and external communications. We do this so that communication contributes to increasing awareness of our services and strengthening our target groups' confidence in us. We provide strategic and operational support in the authority's national projects and processes. We are responsible for strategies and guidelines in the field so that the authority's joint communication is clear, coherent, and easily accessible. The unit has 15 employees located at several different offices in Sweden, which means we largely use digital tools for work and meetings at a distance such as Zoom, Teams, or Skype. However, travel may occur as part of the job. 1 position(s). DUTIES As a communicator with us, you get an exciting and varied role where you make a real difference through clear and engaging communication. You work both strategically and operatively to plan, implement, and follow up on our communication initiatives, always with the organization's goals and the target group's needs in focus. You create, develop, and manage content in both our digital and physical channels, ensuring that information is current, accessible, and easy to understand. Through targeted communication and plain language, you make complex information simple and relevant. You publish and update content on external websites and intranets, while independently producing new content that engages and builds trust. The role involves driving and implementing planned communications, campaigns, events, creation of information pages, and information initiatives—from idea to implementation and follow-up. You work editorially and journalistically to plan content, conduct interviews, write articles, and produce material for both digital and printed channels. You are an important communication support to employees and managers, where you provide advice and help formulate clear and accurate messages. The work also involves close collaboration with colleagues, fact-checkers, networks, and stakeholders, where you ensure quality at every step. As part of your assignment, you analyze the impact of completed initiatives and contribute improvement suggestions that develop both content and channels. You identify development needs, propose solutions for structure and content, and ensure quality through involvement. With us, you get a role where creativity meets structure, and where you get to be part of developing communications in an organization with an important public mission. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who: • Have a relevant bachelor's degree in communications, media studies, or journalism. • Have several years of experience in communications work. • Have experience working with text and image. • Have experience working both strategically and operatively with communications. • Have good experience writing target-adapted content for different channels and media. • Have experience working with digital tools and platforms for communications. • Have experience following up on communication initiatives. • Can express yourself very well in Swedish speech or Swedish sign language as well as in writing in Swedish. • Have good computer skills with office packages and web publishing tools. It is meritorious to have: • Experience working with digital accessibility. • Experience working with language care and plain language. • Experience producing film, podcasts, or live broadcasts (moving content). • Experience with crisis communications. • Experience working with trade shows and physical events. • Experience working with social media. We are looking for a communicative and engaged colleague who is proactive, solution-oriented, and equally comfortable working independently and in groups based on a structured approach. You have a good ability to think strategically and can simultaneously handle operational details in daily work. The role requires you to be flexible and easily able to reprioritize when circumstances change, while also being able to drive several parallel assignments forward efficiently. You are also accustomed to providing support on communications issues and have a confident ability to plan, evaluate newsworthiness, and structure information. Additionally, you can clearly justify your assessments and contribute sound reasoning that strengthens the organization's communications. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start date: According to agreement. Since many of your colleagues are geographically dispersed, collaboration and meetings take place largely digitally via Zoom, Teams, and Skype. This provides great flexibility but also requires good structure, clear communication, and the ability to build relationships even at a distance. The position is advertised in multiple locations. Therefore, the location name in the application form may differ from the advertisement you have reviewed. Your application will, however, be registered correctly and linked to the right location. A 6-month trial employment period applies. An extract from the criminal record must be presented before employment. In the event of a societal crisis, you may be assigned to work between the authority's operational areas based on your location. In preparation for the recruitment process, we have made decisions regarding recruitment channels and marketing. We do not accept offers for advertising and recruitment services at this time.
