The Addiction Team is a county-wide team linked to psychiatric inpatient care at Department 7 in Sundsvall. The team functions as a bridge between psychiatric inpatient, intermediate, and outpatient care, primary healthcare, municipalities, health and medical services, and provides all actors with consultative support while serving as a knowledge center. The team plans care before, during, and after inpatient care and is an important link in the care chain for the individual. The Addiction Team provides guidance and support to the county's municipalities, primary healthcare, and other care partners, and conducts clinical interventions of an outpatient nature. About the Department The Department of Geriatrics, Neurology, and Rehabilitation (GNR) is part of the Southern Primary Care Area. GNR has two inpatient wards: one focused on rehabilitation (26A) and one for stroke/neurology (26B). Ward 26B treats patients with neurological diseases, including stroke. The clinic has 5 neurologists, 4 stroke-specialized physicians, and 7 resident physicians in neurology. The neurology outpatient clinic is comprehensive and well-established with extensive diagnostic and treatment capabilities. We also have a neurology consultation function linked to the clinic. We are now seeking a chief physician/specialist physician in neurology to join our outpatient clinic team. You will see a wide variety of patients in outpatient neurology and also work as a consultant to other clinics and departments in the hospital. You will collaborate closely with our outpatient nurses, who have specialized expertise in neurology. You will become a stable resource for healthcare in Örnsköldsvik. Region Västernorrland is now setting up a new staffing centre within the Production Support Unit (EPS) - a long-term, region-wide resource that will ensure safe and high-quality staffing for both short-term absences and planned needs. As part of the staffing centre's resource team, you will be part of a group of permanent nurses. Together you will staff care wards at the hospital in Örnsköldsvik, with a clear focus on quality, expertise and continuity of care.
