The unit consists of approximately 120 employees who, based on a team-based interdisciplinary approach, work to identify, prevent, relieve and treat mental health problems in children and young people aged 0-17 years. BUP is co-located with Child and Adolescent Rehabilitation, Adult Rehabilitation, and Parental and Child Health. BUP has a total of 12 teams, and as an occupational therapist you will be based at the Medical Unit. The work is cross-functional and you will collaborate with other teams/professions. At the Medical Unit there are nurses, doctors and a dietitian. The team has created a good structure through joint morning meetings, team meetings and rounds. Collegial support is important as the work pace can be quite intense at times, and the team has a wonderful and pleasant camaraderie where shared breaks are prioritized. DUTIES Your main tasks are to conduct supervisory/consultative interventions to the different teams at BUP and provide training to other staff. You will conduct group activities and education for patients and relatives. Individual patient work is primarily directed towards children and young people with ADHD. Examples of work tasks include comprehensive activity assessment, assistive device assessment and prescription, environmental adaptations in the home, and recommendations that require individual documentation. You will be the sole occupational therapist in the unit but will participate in professional meetings for occupational therapists at Child and Adolescent Rehabilitation, which is located in the same building and within the same operational area. The goal is to be able to offer certain group interventions in collaboration with occupational therapists at Child and Adolescent Rehabilitation, as well as in cooperation with other professions at BUP.
