Are you early in your legal career and want to work in a dynamic environment? The Prosecutor's Chamber and Traffic Unit in Östersund is now seeking a Judicial Preparatory Officer.
Your Tasks
As a Judicial Preparatory Officer, you perform legal work together with prosecutors. You assist them in their work and participate in preparatory work during a criminal investigation and in preparation for various prosecutorial decisions. You also help monitor certain of the prosecutors' tasks, propose measures, and participate in various collaboration meetings. You may also assist prosecutors during court proceedings. As a Judicial Preparatory Officer, you also assist prosecutors and case handlers with various administrative matters.
Your day is event-driven, and cases can come in quickly, requiring you to make fast decisions and assess whether something is urgent.
Your Qualities and Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has completed or is near the end of your legal education. Upon starting as a Judicial Preparatory Officer, you must have completed your law degree.
We want you to
have a strong interest in criminal and procedural law and the activities conducted by the Prosecutor's Authority
be thorough, structured, and able to follow the guidelines and procedures that exist
be proactive and take responsibility, and be able to independently prepare your cases
have the ability to prioritize, work persistently and efficiently
be stress-resistant, as workload can be high at certain times
have strong collaboration skills, create good working relationships, and have an open approach to those around you
be service-oriented
have the ability to express yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing
have good communication skills
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
It is advantageous if you have gained experience with criminal law through studies, internships, or work during or after your studies.
About the Position
This is a permanent position with a six-month probationary period.
A requirement for this position is that you hold a Nordic law degree.
We offer a salary level based on job tasks adapted for someone early in their legal career.
