Primary care in Region Jämtland Härjedalen is organizationally part of the Division of Nearby Care together with the Ambulance Service, Public Dental Care, Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Primary care is organized in 4 nearby care areas, and since January 2022, primary care and ambulance services have been integrated under good and nearby care. Each nearby care area is an economic unit led by a unit manager. Primary care is also responsible for the region's medical advice service, youth clinic, and the Näva nearby care unit, all of which are grant-financed. The Primary Care Area has the status of a university medical care unit and therefore includes teaching, supervision, and training of medical students at Umeå University as part of the position. At our health center, we work in teams and use a patient-centered approach with our listed patients. Torvalla Health Center is located in Torvalla Center and is staffed with nursing assistants, district nurses, specialists in general medicine, social workers, psychologists, and medical secretaries. We have a Family Center with child health and maternity services in the same building. Physical therapists, rehab coordinators, and occupational therapists are also at the health center. We are a small, family-like health center where Nearby Care is the focus. The number of listed patients is increasing, and our general medicine specialist needs a colleague, and the health center needs an additional staff member. You have great opportunities to influence the work and working methods since we are still in a startup phase. This provides an opportunity for new thinking and adapting to the needs of our residents. We do this together with the health center's other staff, who currently form a wonderful team working on further developing the operation. We work with patient-centered care and teamwork. The listing of 1,000 patients/full-time is designed to provide expanded responsibility for our most vulnerable elderly and frequent visitors. This approach also creates increased opportunities for home visits and the ability to provide security to patients who need it most. Daily work includes clinic visits, home visits, medication reviews, infection clinic, and qualified phone and digital consultations. Close collaboration with the municipality's home care and special housing facilities is included; communication occurs electronically via LINK. Maternity and child health services, supervision, and MLU assignments may occasionally occur. Occasional on-call duty is part of the work. QUALIFICATIONS We seek you with specialist competence in general medicine, Swedish medical license, and experience from primary care is required. Your own research and research supervision are merits but not a formal requirement for the position. You enjoy working in teams with other professions, close to patients, and want to contribute to the development of the operation.
