Then you could be one of our new real estate developers. About the Operation The Real Estate sector is one of five sectors within the Technical Administration in Östersund Municipality. Technical Administration delivers services in areas including real estate, water, waste management, and parks. A total of approximately 700 people work here. The Real Estate sector is responsible for a property portfolio of approximately 500,000 square meters and has just over 70 employees. The sector consists of a small office and the units: Property Management, Building Technology, and Property Operations. We are now strengthening our strategic work and are seeking an additional real estate developer who will work across the municipality to develop the municipality's properties, facilities, and investments. Your New Role As a real estate developer, you will work at the intersection of real estate, operations, politics, and community development. The role combines space planning work with responsibility for investments and major development projects. You will work both long-term and operatively on issues that impact the municipality's development for many years to come. In this role, you will, among other things: • be project owner for major investment projects • drive and coordinate pre-studies and early phases • work with municipality-wide facility supply issues • develop strategic decision-making documents and service reports • coordinate dialogue with operations and other administrations • work on long-term development of the municipality's property portfolio • participate in matters regarding land use, development, and real estate development • work closely with political leadership and civil servants • ensure that investments are made sustainably and cost-effectively • be responsible for, coordinate, and maintain good order of the sector's framework agreements The role involves many contact points and requires you to see the big picture, prioritize strategically, and build trust in different contexts. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: • Experience working in a politically governed organization • Experience with real estate matters, real estate development, and/or facility supply • Good understanding of investment processes and strategic development work • Ability to work across the municipality and create good collaboration • Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing • Relevant post-secondary education or experience that the employer considers equivalent It is a merit if you have experience with: • Municipal real estate management • Project management or project ownership • Community development matters, development, or land issues • Strategic space planning work • Financial analysis and investment calculations • Experience with procurement law and construction technical knowledge • Public Procurement Act and BAS-P/U Who Are You?
