Specialist Physician in Neurology at the Neurology Clinic

At our Neurology Clinic, we have competent and positive colleagues who care for patients with neurological diseases such as MS, Parkinson's disease, Epilepsy, Motor neuron diseases, and patients with brain tumors. Our Neurology Clinic team includes neurologists, physicians in training, a physiotherapist, 5 nurses, a nursing assistant, and 2 medical secretaries. The unit, which is part of the area for cardiovascular diseases, neurology, rehabilitation, and rheumatology (HNR), encompasses both acute and planned care activities and includes four inpatient wards and six outpatient clinics. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Our mission covers neurological diseases, with new patient visits and follow-up appointments at the clinic. We also handle acute neurology during daytime hours and have care responsibility for hospitalized patients with neurological conditions. Additionally, there is a day care program connected to the neurology clinic. Collaboration with Umeå University Hospital (NUS) takes place through telemedicine rounds, among other means. The job includes supervising resident physicians and our own medical students who are trained through the regionalized medical education program at NUS. QUALIFICATIONS • Swedish medical license. • Specialist competence in neurology. • Swedish language skills at C1 level according to the Council of Europe's level scale. You have a genuine interest and preferably experience in neurology and want to contribute to the future development of this specialty. We value good collaboration skills, a trustworthy approach, and stress resilience. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. You are welcome to be interested in stroke care, as there is an interest in developing stroke services in the region. Employment type: Permanent position.
