Jämtlands Gymnasieförbund is responsible for upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, and parts of adult education in our member municipalities. The Federation's eight schools are located in nature and mountain-close environments spread across six municipalities – Berg, Bräcke, Krokom, Ragunda, Åre, and Östersund. Jämtlands Gymnasium Fyrvalla is the heart of vocational technical education in Jämtland. It houses all vocational technical upper secondary programs and several adult education programs in adapted educational environments with modern equipment. Description We are seeking one to two team members – a chef or a person with serving background or similar experience. The position is time-limited with the possibility of permanent employment. The positions may vary in scope, part-time or full-time, and involve training both upper secondary students and adult education students. Your Future Tasks The main content of the position is to train our students in restaurant work, such as serving, kitchen, bar, and restaurant operations, together with our other teachers. This includes most things from creating menus, setting tables, organizing events, to training in hygiene, cooking, and more. This means we can tailor your position based on your competence and personal experience. It may also include some responsibility for ordering food or finances. Who Are You? We are looking for someone with a background as a chef, restaurant worker, or equivalent, who enjoys working with young people and in a team. You are likely unpretentious, calm, experienced, and enjoy sharing your knowledge. You respect young people's learning and understand that our students are different. As a person, you are used to working both independently and in groups. You take responsibility for your own development and learn from others. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. It is meritorious to have previous experience in vocational upper secondary school or teacher training, as we place great emphasis on pedagogical leadership. What Can We Offer You?
